What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally praise the Gliwice Canal for its scenic beauty and recreational opportunities, particularly boat tours and cycling paths. However, some note that amenities like food and drink options can be limited along certain stretches, and checking operating hours for tours is essential.
"I wanted to replace my decoder remote. They were out of remotes that day. They're supposed to be back in a day or two. I asked about reserving one so I wouldn't have to drive around without reason. The man, who turned out to be the showroom manager, said with disarming honesty that he doesn't make reservations, and if he has one, he will, if not, he won't. First come, first served. And if I don't accept it, I can find another showroom. That's what I did. I sincerely recommend the showroom on Daszyńskiego Street – you can make regular appointments there and avoid unnecessary driving. I closed the thread there.
I DO NOT recommend the showroom on the Forum."

"I'm just politely reminding you that the salon is open until 9 PM, not 8:45 PM!
My husband and I went to get a remote for our decoder at 8:45 PM. The man told us he wouldn't sell the remote anymore because he was closing. We politely pointed out that the salon is open until 9 PM, to which the man replied that he wouldn't sell it because he had already closed everything!
I recommend changing your opening hours if it bothers you so much to work until 9 PM!
In response to your comment, it doesn't say anywhere that this happened today!
But out of curiosity, where are you holding the event? I'd be happy to go for a ride :)"

"The service isn't what it used to be.
❌ I don't recommend the Canal+ store in the Forum Gliwice shopping center (ul. Lipowa 1).
On May 13th, my father had a faulty decoder replaced – the employee only replaced part of the set, even though the hotline recommended a complete replacement (decoder, remote, hard drive, power supply).
The new decoder was faulty – it froze, and the picture and sound were lost.
When we tried to replace it again, we were told that "the hotline can speak for itself" and they wouldn't replace the device.
The employee warned other stores about the "problematic customer," so we were blocked elsewhere as well.
Lack of respect for the customer and lack of cooperation with the hotline. Shameful. 👎
PS. This is outrageous – they have a shared group on Messenger and share customer information between stores. If I were Canal+ headquarters, I'd look into this – wouldn't GDPR apply? And they're forcing us to show our IDs, even as they're sending customer data to each other! In this case, they've sent it to most of the salons nearby so they won't serve us."
