"We visited on Friday, there was no queue. The lady on reception spoke excellent English. I've never been through metal detectors going into a place like this before. It was very different to what we were expecting. The site is an old mine that has been turned into an art house.
There is a section of the site dedicated to the first and second world wars.
The gallery spaces are large and the art fits in the spaces comfortably.
There is a small shop on site with the usual range of souvenirs and snacks."
