What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Oświęcim City Hall receives mixed reviews, with some visitors praising the politeness and efficiency of staff, particularly for specific programs. However, others report significant organizational issues, including difficulty contacting personnel and a lack of clear information, leading to frustration. Parking is also a common concern due to its paid nature and limited availability.
"I come to the city office and I bounce off the door, because the gentleman is not in the office, the biker does not know where he is, there is no telephone contact, and there is no information on the door when he will return. A mockery, and the taxpayer pays, but for what?? Zero organization"
Tom S Crow
"The city is in ruins... Beautiful tenement houses, which should be landmarks and reflect the city's character, are crumbling. They are obscured by advertisements or drapes of fabric. They are either falling apart or being demolished. Where once stood an architectural gem – a tenement house and a vodka distillery opposite the castle – a hotel, unsightly from the outside, has been erected. Even though the facade needed to be restored, it was a symbol of the city. Overall, it's a disaster. The city is losing its historical character."

"I am very pleasantly surprised. The ladies working in the office are very polite and helpful. We had an appointment for a specific time and were received on time. The lady dealing with the clean air program took care of all the formalities. We came to take care of one thing, and managed to do another thanks to human kindness. No queues, no rush. If taking care of formalities looked similar in other offices, it would be great."
