"Winter is not a good time for a walk, although you can try it on sunny days. Swimming ducks and swans add charm to a sad winter landscape. If you have already decided to leave, you can make a loop by walking from the parking lot towards the footbridge at the Jagiellonian Bridge. After crossing the river, we move along the embankment, walking along the Unia pitch, then we pass the Youth Meeting House. We take the footbridge next to the Piastowski Bridge and return to the right bank, where the Castle dominates. The entire route is about an hour's walk."

In the 1980s and 1990s, crowds of Oświęcim residents would bask on both sides of the footbridge during the summer months. Those days will never return, but one can always pause nostalgically on the footbridge and briefly look back. For many people from Oświęcim, this crossing brings back fond memories.
