What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Sandomierz Castle Regional Museum to be a worthwhile stop, offering a rich collection of historical artifacts and art, including the unique Sandomierz Chess and the King's Crown. While some find the exhibition layout a bit chaotic and condensed, the stunning views from the castle and the informative English inscriptions make it an accessible and recommended experience for those with limited time.
"Sandomierz is a royal town, thus you’d expect the royal level of the museum, especially if hosted in the Royal Castle, but then you visit and think umm that’s good, but there’s something missing.
The exhibition about the town’s history is rich, yet pretty chaotic. Sure, you can find some super unique artifacts , like the Sandomierz chess or the Nautilus cup, but the rest appears to be like too many artifacts condensed on too little space.
Upstairs gets a bit better with the Kurza Noga tower hosting the beautiful crown or the collection of paintings including Boznańska and Sichulski.
Nonetheless, the castle is worth seeing, just leaving you a bit wanting more."

It has English inscriptions too."
