What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Tykocin Castle is praised for its picturesque exterior, charming location, and the peaceful ambiance of the Podlasie region. Some visitors rave about the excellent local cuisine at the castle restaurant and the unique historical events. However, a significant drawback for international visitors is the lack of English information and tours, and restaurant reviews are mixed, citing inconsistent service and average food quality for the price.
"This Review is for the Restaurant and Castle. The Restaurant is Excellent. The Best Versions of Local Foods. We had multiple Dishes. The Rosół was amazing, light and flavorful, Delicious. The Babka Ziemnaczana was like a work of art, light and fluffy, with the most delicate and rich Mushroom Sauce, from local potatoes and mushroom of course. We also had the duck this time, and it too was cooked to perfection. In short, the experience of dining in a Historical and Magical and Modern Castle, at an amazing restaurant filled with people from around the world, is amazing. We met someone from Seattle, and heard a minimum of three langauges spoken. The staff spoke Polish and English. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was magical and charming, the experience, Priceless. Highly recommended Local Landmark and Treasure. A True Modern and Historic Royal Castle."

"Only suitable for Polish speakers. If you don't understand Polish, there's no point in coming. There's no information in English and you can only go in there with a Polish-speaking guide. The atmosphere is unpleasant, a feeling that anyone who isn't Polish is not welcome there. Disappointing."

"Visited the castle - just couple of rooms as exhibition and presentation was only in Polish. Rooms for rent."
