Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Winston Churchill mural and viewpoint in Câmara de Lobos to be a charming and easily accessible photo opportunity, celebrating the historical figure's artistic connection to Madeira. While not a major attraction, it offers a pleasant moment of reflection and a chance to appreciate the picturesque harbor. Some note the village has evolved significantly since Churchill's time.
"Had a wonderful time walking round Camera de Lobos. Found the statue of Churchill. Madeira really plays up his 12 daystay on the island and his painting trip tothe harbour. Sadly didn't get to go inside Reid's Palace Hotel where he actually stayed.
Maybe the next time we visit the island.
Madeira is a wonderful place and well wortha visit."

"Visit in November. Mild weather. By car. Municipal car park is free on Sundays - so there was plenty of time to visit not only the chair with Prime Minister "at work" but also to have a walk in the nearby. The village changed a lot in comparison with time of Churchil's visit and there is a lot of pubs in UK-style. I liked that - however there might be different opinions. 😀"
