What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors appreciate the historical significance of the building and its focus on ancient medicine and thermal healthcare. However, a significant drawback is the lack of English translations for most informative plaques, which can hinder a full understanding of the exhibits. The staff, particularly the ticket seller, are consistently praised for their friendliness and helpfulness.
"The building is interesting, but the large informative plaques of information on the walls are not translated. I’m sure the history would be extremely fascinating, but I did not want to take the time to type everything into Google Translate. There are paper signs near the smaller displays that do have just an English translation; but it is so easy to print out translated copy now, it would be just as easy to add additional language translations. The museum should print out re-usable pamphlets of the translated history information in many languages to give to visitors when they enter - or at least be able to print out a translation for a nominal fee upon request."

"It was very disappointing. The building is very nice and there are some nice pieces in the museum, but almost nothing translated to English and it is very difficult to see any logic or story line with the way things presented there. It is more entertaining and educating to go to flee market than to this museum.
The only positive about this museum is the lady selling tickets who is very nice and friendly"

"This museum is a most stop for anyone who has an interest in ancient medicine and thermal healthcare. The staff is very nice and helpful. We loved it!"
