"I think we were probably the first Japanese people to visit this church. It's a fairly niche place, but I'm writing this review in the hopes that it will be helpful to people in Japan.
The church itself is very simple, but the interior is clean and has a calming atmosphere. I visited not for sightseeing but for a friend's ceremony, and it was a very comfortable place.
Not only this church, but the entire island of Madeira is beautiful and rich in nature, the sea is nearby, and the view from the church is also fantastic. I would especially recommend it to those who want to spend some time in quiet and relax.
