What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Praia do Paraíso is a beautiful, secluded cove praised for its unique charm and scenic views, especially from the access staircase. However, visitors should be aware of the steep, potentially hazardous steps and the beach's complete submersion at high tide. The presence of seaweed can also impact usability.
"We came here 11 years ago and it was lovely. Now, the area is in disrepair - the stone steps down to the beach are falling apart and the wooden boardwalk and steps have rotted away. The last steps to the beach are now unnavigable for anyone with any sense, you might risk it if you don't mind risking serious injury. Unfortunately, on this visit, there was a bank of seaweed about 2ft deep preventing access to the sea (if you had risked the above) anyway. All that said, it's a beautiful coastline and well worth a visit. Here's hoping that whatever local body or authority is responsible for the upkeep of the area, gets their act together and sets in motion a plan for repair."

"Beautiful private beach with a secluded atmosphere. Accessing it requires descending a staircase that isn’t very sturdy, so some caution is needed to avoid any accidents.
Additionally, a significant presence of algae reduces the usable area of the beach. However, there’s a lovely viewing spot at the end of the staircase that offers fantastic views of the beach. Overall, it’s still worth a visit for its unique charm and scenic lookout"

"Beautiful secret beach within a secluded cove. The beach is open during the morning when the tide is down but will get washed out when the tide comes in.
Great to visit at both times and really cool place to visit. The pictures below are at the same angle but different times. Expect little visitors so you’ll have more space to spread out!"
