Reviews Summary

Visitors are consistently awestruck by the dramatic natural beauty of Boca do Inferno, particularly the powerful waves crashing through the iconic arch. The accessibility from Lisbon and the stunning coastal views are major highlights, making it a must-see natural wonder. Some find the experience brief, and on calm days, the 'hellish' roar is less pronounced.

"It’s about 25-30 minute walk from Cascais but the view is absolutely worth it. The cliffs and the ocean is stunning and you can find local fisherman trying to catch fish by the cliffs.

It was hands down, one of the coolest places I’ve been to"

Scott Lee

"There's a great walk and a cool market near Boca do Inferno, where you can find some awesome Portuguese souvenirs. We even saw dolphins swimming by the shore while we were walking there! It was a real bonus. Apparently, it's the perfect place to spot dolphins in the wild. My kids absolutely loved it. You gotta check it out!"

Ray Muscat Verzin

"We managed to visit the site on a terribly hot day, with almost no shade on the road from the city centre. So everyone should be prepared with sunscreen and a hat. But the view, seeing the power of the ocean, is really impressive. (Although I admit I preferred the westernmost point of Europe in Sintra. It's less monumental.) In any case, if you're in Cascais or on holiday, it's definitely worth a visit in slightly cloudier weather. There are a few gift shops, restaurants and toilets right next door. No entrance fee, a food free program."
