"Entrance to the palace is €5 for adults, and free for children (my daughter is 3.5). We were lucky — we arrived at 4:00 PM and got there just in time for the start of a guided tour. The tour was very interesting. The lady guiding us could speak both Portuguese and English, so tourists from other countries (who understand English) can easily join. I really enjoyed the interiors, the stained glass, and the paintings. An amazing house — and the grounds are beautiful too. Definitely worth a visit!"

"An interesting place to learn about a wealthy family in Figueira around 1900. I loved the magnificent walls and ceilings. It's a wild mix of styles, renaissance, manueline, art nouveau and gothic. Very knowledgeable guide and friendly receptionist. Danke!
I'd suggest to introduce a more transparent and easy booking system online, so that people know when there are portuguese and when there are english guided tours."
