"Beautiful botanical garden! Showcasing lots of different plants while still looking natural. I recommend watching the introductory movie about their work. The orchid collection was in bloom - phenomenal!!! Absolutely a staple to visit!"

"A nice place to visit even in winter, it was a real surprise: we did not expect to find such a rich variety of orchids and a demonstration of the endemic vegetal life of the archipelago.
The cat Tarzan was super keen to welcome and cuddle the visitors.
The person at the reception was very nice and available to explanations and chat.
5 €/person, and it was worth it. Don't miss it!"

"Good place to spend an hour or two.
The person who sold us the tickets was super friendly and gave us a short intro in great English and offered tasty herbal tea.
The garden itself is not huge and full of blossom but rather interesting if you want to see endemic Azorean plants of just a rather good looking one if you have time to spend walking.
Just don't expect wonders. Do expect basic niceness and few tiny pleasant details.
Totally worth the time (took us about an hour) and money (5€/adult, 2€/child) in my opinion."
