What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Lisbon Cooking Academy for its authentic Portuguese culinary experiences, warm instructors, and engaging atmosphere, especially for team-building events. While many highlight the delicious food and cultural immersion, some note that certain classes can be less interactive than expected, with instructors occasionally distracted. The duration of classes can also sometimes exceed the advertised times.
"It was fantastic. I can confidently say that our team building experience at Lisbon Cooking Academy in May exceeded every expectation. Together with my 15 colleagues from Italy, France, and England, we embarked on what became the most memorable and enriching cultural experience of our corporate trip to Lisbon. Ana , welcomed us with enthusiasm and immediately created an atmosphere that felt both professional and familiar. Her command of perfect English, was crucial for our international group, ensuring that every nuance of Portuguese culinary tradition was clearly communicated to every body. The academy strikes the perfect balance between functionality and warmth, creating an environment that feels both professional and welcoming. What impressed me most, was how Ana, Rita, and their team transformed our group into a cohesive culinary family. Their ability to adapt their teaching style to accommodate different skill levels while maintaining authentic Portuguese traditions was remarkable. By the end of our experience, colleagues who had been relative strangers were sharing cooking tips, laughing together, and planning to recreate these recipes in their home countries. I truly recommend Lisbon Cooking Academy, to any international team seeking an authentic, enriching, and professionally organized cultural experience in Lisbon. This academy represents for me, the excellence for culinary education and cultural exchange."

"I received this class as a Christmas gift, since I love cooking. It was fun to learn about the Portuguese food culture - in this case, we made traditional dishes from the Alentejo region. Everyone was very nice, and the food was delicious.
However, it didn’t feel like a cooking class. It was not very interactive…we just watched the teacher cook most of the time. I helped with some minimal chopping and cracked a few eggs. I wish we got to actually COOK more. Also, the ticket online said the experience would last from 6:30-10:00pm. But we didn’t start cooking until like 7:30, we left at 11:00. Would have been nice if we started and finished on time."

"We had a great time learning how to make Portuguese food. Rita
introduced us to local ingredients at the market, then guided us through the process to make a delicious meal. She was fun to talk to, very informative, and made us feel we could onfidently replicate the dishes when we got home. YUM!"
