The unique volcanic landscape and clear waters are major highlights, offering a magical swimming and snorkeling experience. However, some note the limited space to relax and the potentially chilly Atlantic water.
"Actually one of the most breathtaking piscinas on the Island (maybe even of all the azorean Islands we visited). There aren‘t many places to sit/lay down but you can spend some time there anyways. The way to get there is not that easy to find you habe to follow the wooden sign at the end of the street."

"A very interesting location for swimming in the Atlantic Ocean. The surrounding rocks form inlets that keep the water warm enough for swimming and fun in the water. Very nice. Very clean, occasionally it is difficult to find your place on the rocks due to the high frequency of visitors. Recommended? Yes of course."
Borut B
"Absolutely stunning! Careful of the seaurchins, they're in the rocks. Not on the flat cement though. There are small fishes and crabs in the water as well as many sponges and corals. Wonderful!"
