Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Quinta de Santa Eufémia for its authentic, family-run charm, breathtaking Douro Valley views, and exceptional port wine tastings. The intimate tours offer a personal connection to the winery's rich history and passionate owners, making it a highly recommended experience despite the challenging drive.

"We went for the wine tour and tasting, and it was absolutely worth it, but don't expect the classic visit. The tour is short and local, nothing too fancy. You get a bit of winery history, insights into the wine-making process, and some really lovely scenery. The tasting was excellent, with knowledgeable and passionate people who truly love what they do."

Vlad Danciu

"Very interesting experience, you experience the history and family lineage behind the wine through the tour, as well as learning the process. The wine is excellent as well, and I’d definitely recommend the Finest Reserve Tawny."

Colton Barnett

"We arrived in the evening so a tour wasn’t possible anymore, so we went for the tasting alone. We were welcomed warmly and were invited to have a seat on their beautiful terrace overlooking the winery. This was September and a little later than 5 pm so we were the only ones there.
They were very accommodating when we said that one of us had to drive: we got a very good price on smaller glasses.
The explanation short and interesting, extra questions were followed by knowledgeable answers.
We met the two sisters whose family has been in the business for 11 generations.
In the shop, we were advised by another family member who again passionately and very friendly helped us choose. No pushiness.
Loved the informality and breathtaking views! Also the drive up is stunning, but challenging (small rewinding roads)."
