What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the Chapel of Souls' stunning blue and white azulejo tiles, calling it a highlight of Porto. The free entry and central location are major pluses. Some note that it can get crowded, and express a desire for visitors to be more mindful of its status as a religious site.
"Have you ever been to organ place in the church? Well, in this church you will be there and at much more uncommon places as organ, balconies and very top of the church. And the story of the hidden house is very impressive per se. Very friendly people working there made us feel as very warmly welcomed guests ❤️
And of course dont forget to enjoy beautiful tiles outside - they are hard to oversee when you finish the tour.
We enjoyed a lot and very recommend a visit there."

"Beautiful chapel with stunning azulejos covering all over the walls. I couldn’t even believe that the entrance was totally free. The only thing I didn’t like that people treat this place as a photo shoot place, yet it is still a religious place, I hope those people will know how to treat it right, not like a photo shot center."

"This is a stunning stop in Porto. The history, architecture all contributes to this being an incredible experience of viewing art whilst in Porto. We visited this as a large walk around the city and this is one of our highlights for sure. It has worth admiring and learning about the Chapel of Souls whilst being here as it is a breathtaking place to reflect and take some time to breath inside whilst in the hustle and bustle of the city"
