Visitors consistently praise Serralves Foundation for its stunning blend of contemporary art, magnificent gardens, and beautiful Art Deco villa. Many highlight the expansive park and unique treetop walkway as major draws, recommending the full experience ticket for maximum enjoyment. While some find the sheer amount to see can lead to longer visits than planned, the overall consensus is overwhelmingly positive, with many calling it a highlight of their Porto trip.
"What an absolute treat this place is. I highly advise paying for the full experience as everything Is amazing.
The art exhibition is wonderful. The gardens and walkways are stunning and the exhibition in the villa took my, and many other peoples, breath away. That alone was worth the admission. You get to see a world famous banana! Well, sort of. I'm not going to post pictures of that exhibit as I don't want to spoil the impact.
There are some fantastic sculptures throughout the gardens as well as a working farm and herb garden.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the cafe was great for a quick snack and break.
You could spend half a day in here at least making it great value for money.
I am so pleased we visited, it really is not to be missed."

"If you live in Porto, I'd recommend getting the Serralves Amigos Card. It's definitely worth it if you visit more than twice a year. I've been to Serralves numerous times and always discover something during each trip, whether I'm exploring the new exhibitions or simply strolling through the beautiful gardens. There are always interesting exhibitions - the current Maurizio Cattelan display is particularly compelling and thought-provoking."

"A park encompassing the Modern Art Museum, this is a beautiful place to wander either before or after a trip to the museum or to solely focus on with a grounds-only ticket. The Art Deco villa and terraced garden is a standout, as is the pagoda / tennis court area (also has a cafe and toilets)."
