What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Quinta de Marim for its serene natural beauty, abundant wildlife, and peaceful walking trails, all at a very affordable price. While some note minor signs of wear, the overall experience is highly valued for its wildlife spotting opportunities and historical remnants.
"Lovely nature reserve with a well signposted 2.5km walk. On arrival, park up before the barrier to pay the small entrance fee. Then proceed through the barrier to park up.
The path was easy to navigate and there are lots of informative signs in Portugese and English pointing out the wildlife to be spotted.
There is also a picnic area, toilets, roman remains and a visitors centre. It was very deserted when we visited late August. We saw flamingos, lizards, lots of interesting birds and even a snake on our walk. Definitely worth a visit."
