What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Megalithic Menhirs Vila do Bispo to be a worthwhile, albeit challenging to access, historical site. The solitude and ancient atmosphere are highly praised, though the lack of clear signage and rough terrain can be a deterrent for some. It's a destination for those who appreciate off-the-beaten-path historical discoveries.
"Geo-Position in Google is quite reliable. As other comments say, there is no sign at the unnamed dirt road and no explicit footpath. One way to get there is to follow the dirt road until Casa Negracha, see photo, and hike up to the ridge through a cleavage in the landscape, see photo. Up on the ridge, turn left. Also nice to see: if you turn right on the ridge, some trees have overgrown a pile of stones, see photo."

"The location is accurate, we went there and this menhir is at this exact location. The only thing os that you need to go walking a little bit, you can leave the car at the road intersection 900meters away and walk (we did so) or you can take the car through the gravel road and leave it close to the menhir's location, then you will need to go up the slope, slightly further past is easier to go up as the slope goes down."

"Worth the visit. Beautiful area."
