"I love this place. In 2023 the falls were absolutely incredible to view but it had rained for days beforehand. This time, June 2024 it is barely a trickle but still magnificent.
It is the highest falls in the Azores. If you visit wait until after the rains but be careful with your footing.
It’s a peaceful place to watch the ducks and see the birds soaring around the rocks.
Early morning light is best."

"Not much of a cascade when it was not rained in the past days, but a nice walk. All the ducks they brought here to stay in the lake at the bottom of the waterfall, are waiting by the entrée as this is where they are fed. What a pity ;("
JiPé
"Not a lot of water in August but still impressive in height, wilderness and sweet combined sounds of wind and running water. The rugged volcanic landscape (could be used to film the next Jurassic Park sequel) contrasts with the calm duck pool close to the ocean where exotic birds swim without a care in the world. Idyllic location no matter how you look at it."
