"This is an amazing spot. We went on the last week of August and it was too overcrowded. I remember this place a few years ago and it was nothing as it is. But overall, has a nice bar for fresh drinks, pizza and some other snacks. The water for the kids is amazing, calm and warm. Has some water sports, such as paddle boarding, kayak and “gaivotas”.
Close by has a RV parking were you can stay for the night of you with a van/camper.
Public showers in the centre of town."

"What an amazing place! Out of the way of tourists, and the hustle and bustle of resorts - Fluvial Beach is a hidden gem.
I love heading out in the car, up through the mountains and away from resorts when I'm on holiday. The last time I was in Portugal, we went to Mertola and loved it (despite being so hot!) This time, we decided to keep driving and got to Sao Domingos and Fluvial Beach.
Most of the people there were Spanish or Portuguese, so away from rowdy British and Irish tourists this place is a haven. A lovely warm lake to swim in, and a spotless clean beach to relax.
If you have the chance on your holiday, please rent a car and visit. It's amazing!"
