"The museum is small, but displays beautiful scale models of 16th century ships. The true scale 16th century ship moored in front of the museum (the Nau Quinhentista) is superb and must by all means be visited. When I checked the museum information online, after my visit, I learned that I should also have visited the nearby Casa do Barco. Unfortunately, no one at the reception gave me that information."

"It will enchant people that loves history and boats. It is amazing how people travel oceans on board of a nutshell."
Christianne Moreira
"In my opinion, one of the best things in Vila do Conde. The ship (which is a new one, but built exactly like an antique one) is definitely worth a visit. Even if you won't have a guide or explanation signs, the ship is very well made and makes you feel the atmosphere of the Portuguese sailors. The ticket has to be bought in the museum in front of the ship and it's just 2€ (you will also gets access to the museum)"
