"The collection on display is immense, rife with historical significance as well. We were lucky to have caught an early admission on a Sunday; no crowds and my husband and I met Margarida; a museum guide a few minutes into the visit. She offered us a guided tour of the entire collection! She was a well of information about the pieces and of their historical significance. She absolutely blew us away with her knowledge of the collection and I particularly enjoyed how her guidance and explanations had a meandering thread that ultimately tied the significance of drinking vessels to humankind. It was a super tailored experience like none other and we have our wonderful guide Margarida to thank! No curiosity was left unanswered. The museum has a beautiful collection and impeccable staff!"
