"Teatro Oliver, located on Jaregui Street in Arecibo, was founded by the Marquis of las Claras more than 125 years ago. In 1910, the Marquis family sold the property to Andrés Oliver Roses and his wife, Micaela Ledesma Figueroa. Since then, it has been known as Teatro Oliver. The theater, located in the Plaza del Corregimiento of this town on the north coast of Puerto Rico, has undergone several renovations in the neoclassical style of the 19th century, the French style of the early 20th century, and the late Art Deco style of the late 1930s. It currently seats 600 people, is managed by the Oliver Theater Cultural Development Corporation, and is used for the presentation of high-quality artistic and cultural performances."
