Insider Tips

from TikTok, Instagram & Reddit

Off the beaten path again. Found this hidden gem searching for natural water slides. Las Paylas did not disappoint. We climbed up the slippery side of the water slide to this big opening up to top with all these little waterfalls. We had the entire place to ourselves…except for a few spiders. 😅 #laspaylas #puertorico #naturalwaterslide #naturalwaterslifepuertorico #yoga #waterfallyoga

Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the thrilling natural water slides and beautiful scenery at Las Paylas, calling it a great time and a hidden gem. The natural swimming hole and cliff jumping add to the adventure. However, some reviews mention concerns about parking management and potential security issues, and the lack of facilities like restrooms is noted. Reddit

"Such a great time. So glad we went. $10 parking and $1 per person. You will need to wear water shoes and need to be good with balance. They have a small natural slide and a big one and cliff jumping. Kids will need a life jacket"

Haley Rudolph

"The slides are amazing and the scenery is beautiful. We saw lots of fish in the water (swimming hole) . We paid only to park and walk through a private property to the slides, there is no entry to the public river. Its a short walk downhill to the slides. They are very slippery so good footwear and caution is needed. You can also pay for a tour with a guide if preferred. It's a busy spot with multiple tour groups, but everyone is kind about taking turns. A great place to spend the day!"

Joey

"Parking is available for $10 per car, managed by a private owner, but it's at your own risk. I noticed some visitors arguing with property owners over scratches on their vehicles. On your way back, if you need to rinse your feet or shoes, there’s a water pipe provided by the property owner, but it comes with a $1 per person charge. A small pathway has been created, making it an easy 5 to 8-minute walk to reach the spot. Be sure to wear non-slip water shoes for safety.

There are no changing rooms or washrooms on-site.

The natural water slides are smooth and not too deep, making them enjoyable and easy to navigate. However, if you move your arms while sliding, there is a slight chance of scraping your elbow. It’s a fun activity—just take a little care. If you book a guided tour, they provide life jackets and a guide for added safety. You can easily spend around three hours here with family.

This location is not suitable for individuals with disabilities or strollers as the route is not stroller-friendly.

Overall, it's a fantastic spot for a family outing and a fun experience!"
