What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Al Khor Park is widely praised as a spacious, well-maintained family-friendly destination offering a good mix of animals and recreational activities at an affordable price. While many enjoy the greenery and play areas, some visitors have expressed concerns regarding the welfare and living conditions of certain wild animals in captivity.
"We visited Al Khor Park last Friday and had a wonderful time with family. The park offers a lot of parking spaces, which made it convenient for us to find a spot right away. There is an entrance fee of QAR 15 for adults and QAR 10 for children. I highly recommend booking your tickets in advance through the Aoun app to avoid long queues or any hassle at the entrance.
The park is spacious and well-maintained, with a variety of animals to see. One of the highlights was being able to feed some of the animals, which the kids especially enjoyed. Although the lion was not available during our visit, there were still plenty of other animals to see, making it a fun and educational experience for children.
In addition to the zoo area, there are several food stalls scattered around the park, offering snacks and refreshments. There is also a playground where kids can run around and enjoy themselves after walking through the animal enclosures.
Overall, Al Khor Park is a great spot for a weekend outing with family or friends. It’s clean, affordable, and offers plenty of activities for both adults and kids to enjoy. We’ll definitely visit again!"

"The place is amazing and very big and very suitable for families and children there is a-lot of activities to do there, however i hated seeing animals in captivity specially the wild animals like cheetah and lions and there were signs of neglect and carelessness for these animals the cheetah had what seems like parasites and mating on it fur and it was basing back and forth so many times which indicates that it’s stressed and or in pain, there was a fox locked in a glass enclosure and it was trying to escape the glass, also they were kept in a very small cages not for a wild animal to stay in such place they were meant to move around and run very fast not to be stuck in such conditions , yes there were animals in a much bigger enclosures like the zebras, giraffes ostriches, dears, birds etc and it is really amazing, but the wild animals were crammed in small cages, if there is no proper care for wild animals don’t bring them to zoos 😞this in very inhumane and all for what so people can visit take pictures and leave!! It does not worth torturing animals for."

"Al Khor Zoo is a very nice place to visit, especially with family and kids. The atmosphere is pleasant, and it’s a good spot to spend a relaxing day outdoors. The zoo is well-maintained and offers a variety of animals for children to enjoy and learn about. One important thing to note is that tickets need to be booked online through Visit Qatar, so it’s better to plan in advance. Overall, it’s a great family-friendly destination worth visiting."
