"The Katara Mosque is simply beautiful. The blue and gold mosaics sparkle with so much detail, and the minaret looks enchanting when it’s lit up at night. It’s not only a place of prayer but also a work of art that makes you stop and admire."

"We only had a few hours in Dubai but fortunate enough to be able to do an airport tour. This included what is called the Blue or Katara Mosque which is located in the Katara Cultural Village. It is renowned for its predominantly blue exterior, featuring impressive glass mosaic art and hand-painted ceramic tiles with colors like turquoise, purple, gold, and blue. The mosque has a unique Islamic star shape with a detached minaret and nine central domes, incorporating any architectural styles. It is both a place of worship and a cultural attraction."

"Well, the cultural impact created by the difference between how I went to church (raised an orthodox cristian) and the way women go to church here is gigantic. First, because I didn’t know, I wanted to enter by the front door - surprise, that is only for men. Security sent us to the back door where was the entrance for women. I just had a small look, didn’t want to bother the women that were there for prayer. It was an immense cultural shock I could say, the room for them was very tiny. Since in our religion we all enter on the same doors, this felt strange, but not my business to judge.
The actual Mosque is very beautiful and the outside walls are very impressive."
