What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the spectacular panoramic views and the peaceful atmosphere of Bois Court Viewpoint. The option to hike to Grand Bassin waterfall is a major draw, though it requires good fitness. Some visitors note potential construction on the main viewing platform, but nearby spots offer equally stunning vistas.
"Viewing platform currently under construction (Aug 2025) but a great view just around the corner of the start of the trail. 3 min walk from car park"

"Can walk in good weather conditions to belvedere bois court. From plaine des cafres... Be sure to select a day with good weather conditions as in high mountain there is a good chance of fog appearing!"
Trishna D. Bissessur
"The view from the lookout point is already spectacular, but it is highly recommended to hike the trail that goes down to the Grand Bassin Waterfall. The trail is in good condition, but it is steep at some points, so you need to be in reasonable good shape. The round trip requires a few hours. There are some amazing views of the waterfall and its scenic plunge pool from the trail before you reach the small settlement below."
