Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Union Hall and the Alba Iulia Citadel for their historical significance and excellent restoration. The free entrance and the vibrant atmosphere on national holidays are highlights. Some note issues with outdated QR codes and recommend checking holiday opening hours carefully.

"It is such a great place for the Romanians (Dacians). Every time I visit this place, I feel a big pressure and remember me that our ancestors died and fought for the actual people of this country to be free. And every time when I visit the Alba Iulia citadel on the 1st of December, it is like this place is full of life, and I feel like I go back in time. Actually I recommend you to visit on this date and see how this place is full of people and everyone is happy that we are a free nation and this happens starting with more than 2000 years ago. Dacia is written on our hearts."

Grovu Florian

"The reception attendants were very kind and helpful. Interesting little museum on the unification and creation of Romania after WW1. The place has been excellenty redone from a museological viewpoint, with two temporary exhibition spaces. The main problem was that the EN and FR QR codes led to a website which doesn't exist.

What could be helpful is a wider historical introduction about the process of dissolution of empires and rise of Nationalism in the early XX century Europe (possibly with some critical distance - Nationalist nation building were quite violent and created its own problems with minorities who had their place in multinational empires now forced to assimilate or emigrate)."

René Micallef

"This is a must if you visit Alba Iulia, to get inside the unions hall was an honor and I want to thank you to the lovely ladies at the reception!"
