Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the George Severeanu Museum's incredible collection of ancient artifacts, particularly Egyptian pieces, all housed within a stunning XIX-century mansion. The affordable entrance fee is a major draw, offering significant value. However, some note a lack of interactivity and the need for cash payment and a separate photography fee.

"It's amazing because here you can see items from Egypt, for example, from the VI - IV centuries BC. The ticket is 14 RON per adult, so it's super convenient and the rooms you can visit have their own charm. For this price and for the age of the artifacts it's worth visiting.
If you want to take pictures, you have to pay separately 22 RON. If I visit it again, most definetely I will take pictures as well."

Ivona Octavia Laiu

"The museum is in a mansion with 6-7 rooms and contains the personal collection of Dr. G. Severeanu with archaeological items dated BC or after discovered on romanian territory, and some of them collected from abroad (Egypt).
The museum has a nice architecture of XIX century, beautiful decorated walls and ceilings.
The entrance is very cheap, 14lei (around 3€), but you must pay cash. If you would like to take pictures, there is an extra fee of 22lei (around 5€). Hope you'll enjoy it. I did."

Tini D

"Delightful small museum.packed with Ancient artifacts from around the world, all set in a wonderful large Romanian residence. Beautifully curated, well worth a visit."
