Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the National Museum of Art of Romania for its impressive and diverse collections, particularly the Romanian and European art galleries, and the opulent Royal Palace interiors. The affordable ticket prices and central location are also highlighted as major advantages. Some guests note that seating can be limited and suggest allocating ample time to fully explore the vast complex.

"I visited the whole museum, and had a great opportunity because the day i went there the tickets were free. Everywhere there are cloakrooms to leave your bag or coat. The collection is nice and for discovering everything (not perfectly but for me it was enough) you’ll need few hours. A great place to discover romanian culture and history"

"The Romanian Art Gallery (last building) is absolutely amazing. The quality and quantity is impressive. I recommend you give that part 2-3h. Everything is well lit and if you also visit the throne rooms, you will remain stunned. It's worth giving a full day to this museum or at least 6h."

"We were at the museum probably in a rather non-touristy period (in February) and there were few visitors, which is good if you like to walk around the museum quietly, putting in about 2-3 hours to see one of its parts. I chose Western art, unfortunately I didn't have time for the Romanian exhibition. Western (European) art is quite well represented, there are paintings by Rubens, Bruegel, El Greco, Renoir, Monet, Bellini, Sisley and other famous artists. The halls are large, spacious, bright and well maintained, which is always nice. This was the first relatively large art museum I've visited and I was pleased. Maybe we didn't find because we were in a hurry, but we thought the museum didn't have enough places to sit and rest, my mom was tired(

Tickets are not expensive and clearly worth it. We didn't buy tickets in advance and didn't stand in line

There were lockers for clothes and things, also a toilet."
