Reviews Summary

Visitors often praise the stunning rooftop terrace views and the unique graffiti art found in the staircases, offering a different kind of artistic experience. While the contemporary art collections receive mixed reviews, the museum's architectural elements and the cafe with a view are frequently highlighted as positives. Some find the entry fees and photography policies a bit questionable.

"I wouldn’t particularly recommend visiting this exhibition.

The adult ticket costs 32 Lei (€6.43), plus an additional 8 Lei (€1.61) to access an extra floor, which essentially turns out to be a disorganized storage area of artworks. There is a student discount, but quite questionably, they only accept a specific type of student ID, unlike virtually every other museum.

As for the artworks and exhibitions on display at the time of my visit, I didn’t find anything especially interesting. Just a couple of pieces were pleasant, but the rest felt quite monotonous and irrelevant.

One especially absurd aspect is the additional fee required to take photos: while it’s not strictly enforced, it’s still a senseless rule.

On the other hand, the view from the top floor terrace is worth mentioning: you can see some of the surrounding, somewhat run-down and abandoned areas, which I found to have a peculiar charm. I also thought the café on the top floor was nice. The bathrooms, covered in stickers, are also quite nice!"

"Definitely it is quite a walk to get there so probably get a taxi to drop you off. There is a very cute cafe on the last floor with a terrace. The museum itself is very interesting with multiple curated collections the Stella lie one was extremely beautiful and touching."

Alma Bell

"Cool gallery featuring mainly Romanian modern artists. About 5 euros/£4 entry. It is part of the heaviest building in the world.

Set on 3 floors with a great rooftop terrace.

The ☕️ shop is currently closed, but there are vending machines.

On our visit, there was a street art exhibition in the staircase and on the terrace."
