Is the National Military Museum worth it? Easy to get to from Amsterdam Centraal?
Travelling to the Netherlands this July with my g/f and her 9yo son, he's just really discovered WWII and I'm wondering if the National Military Museum is a good visit that people have enjoyed or could recommend... and also if it is easier to use public transit all the way to…

I visited the nationaal militair museum in the Netherlands
I got to ride in a modified M113, the only downside is that the gift shop featured the famous F-33 Fighting Flanker. If you are ever in Utrecht it is worth a visit! I am on my phone and I don’t know how to add text to pictures so I will do it like this: P1: sea hawk (?) P2:…

"I’ve been to military museums around the world (London, Moscow, US) and I would rate this quite high. Amazing history from Roman times through current period. I loved how it was a linear presentation. Some of the artifacts were just incredible. Compliments the the restoration team. Only shame is the outdoor exhibit of tanks and vehicles is closed indefinitely. But still well worth the visit."

"I visited this museum with my husband and military mad teenager. We all really enjoyed this museum. Very cheap entrance fee with a super friendly ticket lady. Some of the signs are in English and others are not, but we were aware of this.
It was amazing how many displays and original artefacts there all, along with re-enactments, photos and models. Fascinating museum, that appears under used. We got a bus from Central Bucharest, that was fairly straightforward. We have been to a few European military museums and I would describe this as more expansive than most. A bit more signage in English would uave helped, but it is in Romania!"
