What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Bear's Cave for its stunning geological formations and the unique, awe-inspiring presence of numerous cave bear skeletons. While the ticket price is noted as a bit high, most agree the experience is well worth it. The primary drawback mentioned is that guided tours are only in Romanian, and there's no signal inside for translation apps, though the visual experience remains highly recommended.
"At first, the ticket price felt a bit high, but once inside, we realised it was absolutely worth every penny. The Bear’s Cave is stunning—amazing formations, impressive chambers, and a truly exciting atmosphere filled with history. Walking through it feels like stepping into another world.
It’s no surprise this is such a popular attraction—it’s massive, unique, and a must-see if you’re visiting Romania. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience something unforgettable"

"A unique chance to be a witness of a cruel nature. Hundreds of bears died in this cave for unknown reasons, which only adds up to the mystery. But that's not the only interesting part. The cave itself is beautiful and full of stalactites, stalagmites, and other stone formations. I can spend there a whole day, and that still won't be enough to discover all of what's to see. It's too bad that the guide tours are only available in Romanian. Your smartphone translator won't help as there's no signal inside the cave. However, it's still very worth going."

"Great place! The guide explained the history very well! It's 40 ron at the entrance! Great experience! A small jacket will be necessary!"
