What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors often praise the Cluj-Napoca City Hall for its beautifully restored historical architecture, noting it as a visually appealing landmark. However, a significant point of contention is the outdated and misleading parking price notifications, which can lead to unexpectedly high fees. While the building itself is appreciated, opinions on the administrative authorities can be mixed.
"Cluj-Napoca commonly known as Cluj, is the fourth-most populous city in Romania. It is the seat of Cluj County in the northwestern part of the country. Located in the Someșul Mic river valley, the city is considered the unofficial capital to the historical province of Transylvania. On the site of the city was a pre-Roman settlement named Napoca. After the AD 106 Roman conquest of the area, the place was known as Municipium Aelium Hadrianum Napoca. Possible etymologies for Napoca or Napuca include the names of some Dacian tribes such as the Naparis or Napaei, the Greek term napos (νάπος), meaning "timbered valley" or the Indo-European root "to flow, to swim, damp"

"Well as institute is okish. U can finish relative fast. My issue and the reason of 1 start, that the notification about prices in parking place are old. They are saying that for 2h the price is 4 Ron = ~1 euro. Ehn... The reality was ~10 euro. Please update your prices notification from parking lot."
