Sedgwick or Museum of Zoology?
Hey folks, just wanted some advice. We're hoping to visit one of the museums in our week off, but can only prioritise one on the day we're in. If you had to choose, which would it be? Sedgwick has a couple of things I'm interested in seeing (Iguanodon skeleton), but Zoology…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the Zoological Museum UBB's immense and diverse collection of preserved animals, calling it a 'time capsule' with a unique historical charm. The incredibly low admission price, especially for students, is frequently highlighted as exceptional value. While some exhibits show their age, this is often seen as adding to the museum's character rather than detracting from the experience.
"Utterly GIGANTIC collection of preserved and taxidermy mammals, birds, fish, insects and everything else. It even has eggs, nests, and other cool stuff. A lot (most, if not all) of the exhibits are clearly quite old, which for some (me), adds a new dimension of interest, but it is also apparent that age has decayed some of the examples here. Super interesting to just walk through. The young people seemed to really enjoy it, and so did the old (me). Staff is very nice. Facility is clean. Inside one of the university buildings and surrounded by nice green space. If you don't mind a small walk from the old city, this is a really fun diversion!"

"One of the most beautiful museums I’ve been too. They have such a big collection. And the building is amazing.
Definitely recommend going here!"

"Wow, what a time capsule! Well most of the animals are pretty old, so don't get too caught up in the looks. I mean if you want to see the real deal just turn on the tv and watch national geographic, or go to the zoo. But still most of the stuffed animals are in pretty good shape for being more than 50+ years old. Just take your time and enjoy, this place has a magic of it's own!"
