What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors often describe the Dolphinarium as a place of 'pure joy' and 'magic,' particularly praising the spectacular dolphin shows and the bond between trainers and animals. Many families find it a delightful outing, especially on hot days. However, a significant concern raised by some is the alleged poor conditions for animals and the overall cleanliness of the facility, leading to strong recommendations against visiting.
"Forget Disneyland, the Dolphinarium of Constanta is the happiest place on earth! 😄
The show itself can be described as 25 minutes of pure joy. The 5 dolphins are magnificent and the bond that they share with their trainers is spectacular.
Music, flawless tricks, we found the experience to be magical.
We stayed in the first row and the perception on the show is unique. I highly recommend trying it (yes, you will get splashed. But that’s part of the fun, right?)"

"Had the best experience seeing the dolphins. Been visiting with the family and we stopped for a marvellous show. Kids enjoyed a lot the show. I suggest to buy the tickets online together with the parking option so you won't get disappointed that you can't get inside in the parking lot. If you're coming without car you can buy tickets from the ticket office and the queues aren't so big. Anyway it is must see if your around the area."

"Horrible conditions – do not support this place!
We visited this park with our daughter and were absolutely shocked by what we saw. The animals are kept in catastrophic conditions. In some enclosures, there were even dead animals (guinea pigs). Many animals don’t have enough food, and in some cases, they were being fed completely inappropriate things.
For example, we saw deer being given bananas – something that is absolutely unsuitable for their diet as ruminants. Even more shocking: the cattle standing in one of the fields had no food at all, although as ruminants, they absolutely depend on constant access to proper roughage like hay or grass.
Nothing about this place is species-appropriate or humane. There is trash everywhere, the entire area is dirty, neglected, and completely unacceptable. Some animals don’t even have shade.
We deeply regret supporting this place by paying for admission. The only thing we can do now is warn others not to visit. Please do not support this kind of animal cruelty."

The Dolphin Show Experience
However, it's worth noting that the first few rows are designated as the splash zone. Visitors who choose these seats can expect to get wet, which many find to be part of the fun. Bringing a poncho or wearing water-resistant clothing is a practical tip for those who want to stay dry. The show's consistent appeal is evident, with repeat visitors noting that it remains enjoyable even after several years.
While the show is a major draw, it's important to be aware of the ethical considerations surrounding marine mammal parks. Some reviews express concern about the conditions in which the animals are kept, urging potential visitors to research and make informed decisions. This perspective adds a layer of complexity to the otherwise celebrated dolphin performances.
Beyond the Dolphins: The Animal Reserve
The reserve is particularly recommended as a way to cool off during hot summer days. It offers shaded areas and a chance to see a variety of creatures, making it a good complement to the dolphin show and other attractions. For families, this part of the Dolphinarium is often a hit with children, adding to the overall appeal for a half-day outing.
However, as with the dolphin enclosures, there have been reports of concerns regarding the conditions in the animal reserve. Some reviews mention issues with cleanliness, lack of food for certain animals, and inappropriate feeding practices. These accounts suggest that while the reserve aims to be a pleasant attraction, potential visitors should be aware of these criticisms and consider them when planning their visit.
