We visited Cramele Recaș during our stay in Timișoara this March. The weather was cloudy and rainy, but that didn’t hold us back from exploring one of Romania’s most iconic wineries! It is located in a near village from Timișoara, called Recaș. With a history dating back to 1447, the vineyards have witnessed centuries of tradition, resilience, and passion for winemaking, resulting in crafting wi...

Our first press trip ever took us to Recaș Winery, one of the biggest players on the Romanian market but also very present abroad. We loved the craziness of the 24h tour, the family touch and the cultural twist. We usually work with boutique wineries and we absolutely loved to learn more about what it takes to make wine at this scale. A big thank you to Cosmin Tudoran @cosmintudoran for inviti...

Visitors appreciate the knowledgeable staff and the atmospheric deep cellars, making it a worthwhile destination for wine lovers and sightseers alike. While the scenery is a major draw, some may find the scale of the operation less intimate than boutique wineries.

"Big fields of vines, as much as the eye can see. The location has a big building wifh a shop and different facilities.

You can find the Recas premium line of wines here to buy. The clerk here was quite knowledgeable and helped us choose some wines based on our tastes.

Would recommend going when everything is green as it would surely be more beautiful to see."

"I'm not a great wine or alcohol fan in general. As part of a business trip I contributed in the wine tasting session. Very nice dinner included. The staff was very friendly, especially the lady that poured the wine.
The deep cellar added greatly to the atmosphere."

Chris Held

"Superb. Many sortimens of wine, outside the city, fresh air, nice view. Periodically they organise tasting events (oh yeah). Best wines in West Romania. There is a corner where VIP's wrote their toughts about Recas Winery, nice touch."
