Reviews Summary

Tiki-Tak Waterpark offers a family-friendly experience with enjoyable slides and entertaining staff, but it's significantly let down by overpriced, poor-quality food and questionable facility maintenance. Visitors strongly advise bringing your own food and managing expectations regarding the overall value for money.

"Long story short or read full review :) good attraction for kids, door and poolside staff not up to role, food overpriced and only fit for a dog, it appears from the other reviews that everyone is in agreement with this.

So expect to spend about 4 hours plus there, people will get hungry, the ques got fairly long and was highly overpriced, not fresh and shameful sized helpings. Used to having few options as a vegetarian but only option for me was a tiny plate of greasy undercooked chips or what looked like a 3 day old salad with a couple of Cherry tomatoes, the other options for those with normal diet small and overpriced also. I went to the exit and explained nicely that the food wasn't really suitable for me here and that my family were eating in the cafe and that I was really hungry and wanted to go outside quickly alone and eat proper food and return while my family ate there but they refused me that simple and very small but honest, decent and humane request... I actually got the impression they were enjoying being unhelpful...👎👎👎 In the end we had to leave earlier than hoped so I could eat ... Grrrrrrrr One head scratching moment was when the guard stopped my child who was within the correct height from going on the small kids slide while letting even smaller children on. Pool guards blow whistles for absolutely minor things (a woman for wearing sunglasses at the side of the pool whisted at, a child unable to clear the slide in world record time, whisting to other guards to get their attention and joke) so people were totaly ignoring the guards Which from a safety point of view is very much questionable, all said though the entertainers were top quality and definitely the only staff doing their role correctly 👏👏👏 and the kids enjoyed it as their first water park experience. I can only assume the other reviews haven't actually been to the many better maintained and better ran water parks to actually know this one isn't great. Best missed if you expect some quality for the high entrance price you pay, but if you must go here definitely bring your own food."

Navigating the Slides and Pools

Tiki-Tak Waterpark boasts a variety of water slides, from long and twisty to potentially smaller ones for younger guests. While the slides are a primary draw, reviews suggest that the overall experience can be marred by inconsistent lifeguard enforcement of height restrictions. Some visitors noted that guards would stop children within the correct height range while allowing smaller children on, leading to confusion and frustration. The water temperature, particularly in the children's pool, was also mentioned as being quite cold.Reddit

Beyond the slides, the park offers various pools. However, the general upkeep and maintenance of the facilities have been a point of criticism. Visitors describe the park as 'shabby' and note a lack of essential amenities like functioning locks on locker room doors.Reddit This suggests that while the core attractions are present, the overall environment might not meet the expectations of those seeking a pristine and well-maintained waterpark experience.

The Food and Drink Dilemma

The most consistent and strongly worded feedback across reviews concerns the food and drink offerings at Tiki-Tak Waterpark. Visitors repeatedly describe the food as overpriced, of poor quality, and not fresh. Common complaints include greasy chips, unappetizing salads, and small, expensive portions. For vegetarians, the options are particularly dire, often limited to the aforementioned greasy chips or sad salads.Reddit

This widespread dissatisfaction has led to a near-universal recommendation: bring your own food and drinks. Many reviewers explicitly state that this is the best way to save money and ensure a more enjoyable experience. One visitor was even denied re-entry after leaving briefly to get food, highlighting the park's strict policies and potentially unhelpful staff regarding external food.Reddit The consensus is that the on-site dining is a significant detractor from the overall value of a visit.

Staff and Safety Concerns

The behavior and effectiveness of the staff at Tiki-Tak Waterpark have drawn mixed reactions, with a notable emphasis on safety concerns. While the entertainers are praised for their quality and enthusiasm,Reddit the poolside and door staff have received criticism. Some visitors felt that the door and poolside staff were 'not up to role' and that the lifeguards were overly zealous in whistling for minor infractions, such as a woman wearing sunglasses by the pool or a child not clearing a slide quickly enough.Reddit

This perceived overzealousness for minor issues, coupled with a potential lack of attention to more significant safety matters, has led some to question the overall safety protocols. The inconsistency in enforcing rules, like slide height restrictions, further adds to this concern. While the park aims to be family-friendly, these issues with staff conduct and safety perception detract from the experience for some visitors.
