What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Polzunov House Museum to be a soulful and interesting place, particularly appreciating its free admission and the passionate staff. While some note the museum's small size and a desire for more exhibits or renovations, the educational value of the displays on regional history and natural sciences, especially the bird collections and mining models, is highly praised. The option for affordable guided tours adds significant value to the visit.
"The museum was opened in 1823, and was visited by the great Alexander Humboldt. The museum is free, but you have to pay 50 rubles for photography and filming. Don't be stingy, even if you don't want to take pictures, or make a small donation in the box at the entrance. The museum is small and not very rich, but interesting. There are few unique things at the exhibition itself, but you will see stands on history, geography, the peoples of the region, and flora and fauna. The museum staff makes a very pleasant impression of people who love their work and are interested in it. I wish for more funding and more interesting exhibits, and repairs would not hurt."

"An interesting museum, especially in terms of models and mining. I was very surprised and pleased that admission was free. It seemed a bit cramped to me. It is necessary to expand and slightly modify the expositions. Overall, it is not bad. You can download an audio guide to the museum, but not all the halls are presented"
Władysław Wolski
"The museum is free to visit. A tour costs money, but it's worth it. It's very interesting and educational! According to the staff, renovations will be taking place soon."
