"Loved it"

Sneh Karmveer

"Stele City of Military Glory
The city received this title in 2007. And quite deservedly so! This fact is usually celebrated by installing a stele. And this also does not raise any doubts. The problem is where exactly such a stele should be located. This problem has become more acute in Belgorod due to the fact that the stele was installed in the place where the monument to Lenin used to stand. And it was moved to the park. By the way, during my visit to the city it was not in the park, they say it is undergoing restoration. The stele was made and installed over the course of six years. Only in 2013, the year of the 70th anniversary of the city's liberation, it was installed on Cathedral Square. Bas-reliefs with images of the military history of Belgorod are placed on the four corner pylons."

Sergey Kuznetsov

"The pedestal bears the text of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation on awarding the city the honorary title of "City of Military Glory". Also in addition to the composition, there are bas-reliefs located on the four corner pylons, which reflect the military history of Belgorod."
