Reviews Summary

Visitors are consistently impressed by the Vvedensky Cathedral's unique 17th-century wall paintings, which offer a dynamic visual experience. The preserved cast-iron floors and the historical significance, dating back to Ivan the Terrible's era, are also frequently praised. Many highlight the warm and responsive nature of the clergy, adding a personal touch to the visit. Some note that the bell tower is under restoration and that the cathedral could benefit from further renovation.

"The first wooden church was built according to the charter of Tsar Ivan the Terrible. In the middle of the 17th century, a stone church was built. During the Soviet era, the storage facility of the Museum of Local History was located here. During the Great Patriotic War, parishioners raised money for a tank column in honor of Dmitry Donskoy. For which Stalin thanked them. On weekends, couples are baptized and married here. The bell tower is currently being restored."

Sergo Kuzovkin

"We were on a trip and visited this temple, which was created during the reign of Ivan the Terrible. The interior decoration of the temple is memorable."

Ирина Дюрер

"An unusual beautiful cathedral of the 17th century in its original form. Inside there are icons and dark-colored wall paintings. I saw such a temple for the first time. During the construction of the cathedral there was not enough money for the interior decoration and the temple was painted directly on the walls, the picture changes depending on the viewing angle. Elements of cast-iron floors were preserved in the temple. The temple needs help for restoration and renovation. I recommend visiting."
