Reviews Summary
Visitors find Central Park City Park to be a unique and soulful place, appreciating its European-style architecture and chess-themed art. While some areas feel 'abandoned,' the district's history and quiet charm offer a compelling experience, especially for those interested in its unique origins.
"Very nice place, interesting imitation of European or American style city in the middle of Kalmyk steppes, near Elista. Was build by Kirsan Iljumzhinov for chess world cup. Many little chess-inspired statues. Good hotel "Marco Polo"."

"Good place"
R V Ravindra
"August 2024. Elista, Republic of Kalmykia, Russia.
Five stars, although one is possible. The place is soulful, like many "abandoned" places. The place reflects our reality, when they wanted "the best", but it turned out "as always". Wander the streets in the shade of rare local vegetation, around this palace, go to a souvenir shop... this is possible and necessary if you are in Elista. And the most interesting thing is the history of this place! After all, everything could have worked out."
