"One of the best tourist areas on the Black Sea. Great beachfront area. Lots of family stuff to do. Plenty of parks. Great place to swim, go boating, play or just walk along the embankment.
Gelenjik is just a really beautiful area. Highly recommend. For me, the top city to visit on the Black Sea, along with Sochi."

"Everything was good, as safety, cleanliness, except prices in local small shops, restaurants and cafés."

"The promenade is what Russians call "kucha mala", i.e. a melting pot of kisch. There are all kind street vendors, fish massage, bars with loud live and horrible music, restaurants with old leather sofas, carnival, pictures with monkeys and parrots (is that even legal?), etc. It is basically a massive tourist trap. It is better to walk south until you reach a cliff beach called Smotrovaya ploshchadka with an awesome view and not too crowded"
