"An excellent museum with a very unusual and very good collection.
In the permanent exhibition, you should definitely visit the Russian avant-garde room and, surprisingly, the ancient Egyptian treasures room, where they have an Egyptian mummy (which Burylin bought).
The exhibition about Yuryevets was also very cool (I liked how diverse and interestingly displayed it was).
But besides that, the museum also turned out to be a bit of a slouch – among the very classic collection, there are a couple of works by Koshlyakov!!! I really hope they give them at least a separate room."

"The museum is preparing for Victory Day celebrations, so some rooms are closed. Take a tour; we were given a detailed explanation of how the Palekh artists' team moved from icon painting to painting boxes, and how they developed new themes and color schemes."
