Reviews Summary

Visitors find the Marzipan Museum a charming and educational experience, especially when combined with a masterclass or guided tour. The free entry is a significant plus, and the opportunity to taste and purchase authentic Lübeck marzipan is highly praised. Some note it's a small exhibition, but the historical context and hands-on activities make it worthwhile.

"A small exhibition, but it is not so much interesting as the excursion with a story about the history of the restoration of lost recipes of Kaliningrad marzipan. Then there are master classes where they offer to paint baked marzipan at your discretion."

"A wonderful place, definitely worth a visit. On Sat and Sun they conduct excursions and master classes, a wonderful girl works in the museum who will tell you a lot not only about marzipan, but also about the history of the city, it was very nice to visit, thank you very much! And the old buildings as a reflection of the past on sweets are especially wonderful!"

Анна Станковская

"We accidentally got on a tour and a master class on painting marzipan - it was very interesting and educational! We were able to buy wonderful souvenirs and try real marzipan according to old recipes - 50% almonds, the same amount of sugar and rose water, you won't find such a composition anywhere! Especially now, when the supply of German marzipan has stopped during the Pandemic and the shelves of "Marzipan Houses" are empty 🙂 you should definitely find out about the days and hours of operation in advance, as they are limited"
