Reviews Summary

Visitors find the Tatarstan Museum of Natural History to be a pleasant surprise, offering professional exhibits and a good collection of fossils and minerals, especially for families. However, the significant language barrier and the prevalence of replica fossils are noted drawbacks, impacting the perceived value for some.

"I expected a one room mini museum like you often find in Russia. It was actually a lot better than I expected. The exhibits looked professional and they had a fair amount of stuff spread over several rooms and a couple floors. Just don't expect the London museum of natural history and you won't be disappointed."

Ramses Firestone

"A disappointing experience. I was really excited when i heard there were fossils of dinosaurs as I've never seen one before but it was very disappointing. Half of the museum is filled with rocks (geology) the other half was just normal exhibits you'd see in any natural history museums. The biggest downside was the language, i had been to Museums in Yekaterinburg last week and they had every information written in English and here they only had information in Russian and Tatar despite the fact that the tourism flow is more here than Yekaterinburg. Also the BIGGEST irony was that MOST fossils were FAKE (artificial) made of POP, except a couple of bones most were just models, you'd only figure that out if you touch it. For 300 Rubles this museum is absolutely not worth it. A Hard Pass"

Mustafa Shahid

"It was a pleasant experience. The staff were child-friendly and some specific Chil friensly activities with the Museum.

Some very interesting Technology used in presenting some Exhibits."
