"Lake Semenovskoye is a lake in the Leninsky District in the northern part of Murmansk. According to legend, the lake's name comes from the fisherman Semyon Korzhov (or Korzhnov), who lived on the shore of the Green Cape of the Kola Bay. The lake's dimensions are 580 by 780 meters. The area of the lake is about 19.5 hectares. Freeze-up from November to the end of May. The ice thickness is up to 1 meter. This is one of the most favorite places for recreation and walks for all Murmansk residents.
