What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Russky Island for its stunning natural beauty, particularly the dramatic cliffs at Cape Tobizina and the impressive Russky Island Bridge. The historical forts add a unique dimension to the experience. However, some note the lack of amenities like toilets and restaurants in remote areas, and the difficulty in securing taxis, suggesting pre-booking or tours are advisable.
"I visited at the beginning of September, but it was the best weather. There is a lot of wind on the side of the cliff. From the parking lot to the cliff, you have to track down a light mountain path for 30 to 40 minutes on a one-way path. After the rain, the road turns to mud and it's hard to walk. There are no toilets and restaurants, so let's prepare ourselves. It's hard to call a taxi because I can't get through the phone. It's better to book a taxi by return or take a tour company. The view is beautiful, so I recommend you to visit."

"I love this island. This island houses the new Far Eastern Federal University Campus. It is a little bit windy and cold here but there are views that are very captivating. :) but you need to know where to go to see them."

"A chic place to breathe sea air, a beautiful view of Vladivostok and the military forts of the island, the wonderful Novik Bay, a good place for kayaking, SUP, yacht ... Only four shortage - garbage, lack of toilets, and the sewage system of the entire huge and famous FEFU university merges in Novik Bay, the mouth of the bay in 8 years turns into a swamp and grows shallow, there is a smell of rot next to it ... But it’s fine. Particularly clear, freezing water of the Japanese island"
